Dormeuil Happy
We are unabashed fanboys of Dormeuil, the English-made, French cloth manufacturers. While we carry other equally luxurious fabric choices, there’s just something about the way that Dormeuil cloth catches the light and reveals layers of colors. It is hard to put into words.
However, we can tell you why the cloth looks so rich. The example above is made up in Dormeuil’s Amadeus 365 Worsted Wool, world-famous for its handle, drape, and precise weave, which is entirely woven in England. The yarn is top-dyed, meaning that the individual strands are dyed before they are woven into cloth. Then a dash of French sophistication is added with their designers’ penchant for combining different color strands into the whole. This creates that depth of color. As for the way it catches the light… Alright, we can’t tell you everything. The Amadeus 365 wool is finished in some sort of top-secret fashion at the mill.
Whatever they do, the end result is a lightweight wool suitable for year-round wear that has been the choice of everyone from Royalty to Presidents, CEOs to Hollywood stars. Come in to the studio and run a your fingers over a swatch to feel what true luxury is like and we’ll introduce you to what it means to be Dormeuil Happy.
